As a not-for-profit social club, the Perth Tango Club aims to encourage, promote and develop the art and culture of Argentine Tango dancing in Perth.
Upcoming Classes
Tango Basics - with Mike & Marzena Thursdays 7.30pm - 8.30pm Tango Basics/Beginners is an 8-week adult dance class covering the basic linear movements, structure and music of Argentine tango. The class is ideal for beginners, no previous experience is required. No partner is required, but couples are most welcome. These lessons are also useful for dancers who are coming back to tango after a long break, or want to revisit the basic elements of tango. We are located in West Leederville, central Perth, near to you! Fee: $100 each. Book by clicking on the Tango Beginners Classes link below. (Fee includes Club membership offering reduced fees for Club events.) You can also arrive at 7pm, unannounced, for a free taste of tango lessons - a half-hour introduction to tango with no obligation. | Guided practise sessions Tuesdays 7-9:30pm Saturdays 3-5pm (2nd and 4th week) Sundays 3-5pm The Perth Tango Club also offers regular practise sessions called practica. These occur on Sundays and Tuesdays, and every other Saturday. Please consult the calendar for dates and times of these practicas. Students enrolled in the Tango Basics course are encouraged to join these practice sessions free of charge. |
Workshops From time to time, we will invite and host visiting teachers ("maestros") to run intensive tango workshops.
