Festival Pass – Gala Events
Friday 17 April — Perth Town Hall (CBD)
Doors: 8:00 pm · Seating: 8:15 pm · Gala: 8:30 pm–1:00 am
On the Edge of the Indian Ocean — Opening Gala. DJ Tu (Vietnam) keeps the floor flowing between live tandas by Hyperion Ensemble with Marisol Martínez. Featured performance: Fabio Robles & Michelle Di Monte. MCs: Fabio & Adri. Dress up and let the music pull you into the weekend.
Saturday 18 April — Vietnam Pavilion, Kings Park · 3:00–6:00 pm
Alfresco tango picnic in the botanic gardens. DJ Verena (New Zealand) sets an easy afternoon groove for relaxed tandas and catching up with friends. Bring a rug, pack a snack, and enjoy an outdoor milonga before the evening’s festivities.
Saturday 18 April — Perth Town Hall (CBD) · 7:30 pm–1:00 am
Passport to Tango – International Night. DJ Anthony Miller (AU) drives a high-energy flow between live tandas by Hyperion Ensemble with Marisol Martínez. Featured performance: Analía Morales & Gabriel Ponce. MC: Fabio. National dress or colours encouraged.
Sunday 19 April — Leederville Town Hall · 7:30 pm–Midnight
Milonga de la Tierra — with a folkloric touch. DJ Alejandro shapes a warm, grounded flow with moments of Chacarera & Zamba. MCs: Fabio & Adri.

We offer three workshops with Fabio Robles & Michelle Di Monte and five and one intensive seminar with Analía Morales & Gabriel Ponce. Pricing and a booking sheet will be available shortly.

Fabio & Michelle share five different combinations for giro including planeos, enrosques and rulos. Understanding centrifugal force and how to connect it to your partner.

WS2:Five Different Colgadas — Thu 16 Apr, 7:00–8:00 pm
You will learn five different colgadas suited for social dancing, learn all the techniques required before leading or following a colgada and you will never miss them.

WS3:Five Different Barridas — Fri 17 Apr, 7:00–8:00 pm
Five different Barridas, left foot, right foot, natural and reverse. After learning these 5 Barridas we will give you a little time to create your own!

Technique for improvising elegantly in crowded milongas. enroques, ganchos, barridas, and short turns to transform minimal space into a world.

Technique, Control, and Fluidity in Challenging Movements (advanced level).

WS7:Milonga with Traspié — Sun 19 Apr, 12:45–2:15 pm
dynamics, precision, and play. We work on sequences with TRASPIÉ, quick weight changes, and short turns. The focus is on rhythm clarity and connection, to dance fast but controlled.

Seminar (theme TBA) — Mon 20 Apr, 7:00–10:00 pm
A two-part intensive evening seminar with Analía & Gabriel (theme TBA).

WS8: Dancing the Silence in Tango — Tue 21 Apr, 7:00–8:30 pm
The Inner Rhythm - silence, pause, and breath as resources for connection. We explore stillness as a language, with planeos, enroques (gentle) and micro-dynamics.

WS9:Tango in Small Spaces — Wed 22 Apr, 6:30–8:00 pm
Technique for improvising elegantly in crowded milongas. Enroques, ganchos, barridas, and short turns to transform minimal space into a world. A new angle on close-quarters navigation, line of dance, and calm turns.
An Afternoon of Tango (Sun 19 April)

Free Public Tango Lesson:1:00–2:00 pm (Juan Rando) — no partner or experience required
Concert:Hyperion Ensemble with Marisol Martínez,3:00–4:30 pm
(80-minute programme)
Doors: 2:15 pm (arrive early to settle in for concert)

Access: With support from Lotterywest, seats will be reserved for seniors’ groups, multicultural organisations, and aged-care residents.
Private Lessons
Analía Morales & Gabriel Ponce and Fabio Robles & Michelle Di Monte will offer limited private-lesson appointments. These one-to-one sessions (for a single student or a couple) provide personalised attention, tailored feedback, and focused work on your strengths and development areas. Register your interest and we’ll send booking links and pricing details shortly.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Event Cancellation
We hope everything runs smoothly — but if we do have to cancel part or all of the event, we’ll refund your ticket in full or pro-rata (depending on what’s affected), minus transaction processing fees. Please note: refunds apply to ticket prices only. We can’t cover any other costs like travel or accommodation.
Refunds
You can get a full refund (minus a $10 transaction fee) if you cancel on or before 8 January 2026.
From 9 January to 31 March 2026, we’ll consider refund requests case by case. If approved, you’ll receive a 50% refund of the ticket price (less fees). From 1 April 2026 onwards, tickets are non-refundable. All refund requests must be made in writing to the organisers — just send us a quick message explaining your situation.
Privacy
When you buy a ticket, we’ll add your email and phone number to our list so we can keep in touch about this and future PTC events. We’ll never share your details or use them for anything else.
