Perth Tango Festival

Welcome to Perth in our vibrant spring season! We're thrilled to invite you to join us for a dynamic week of tango, featuring renowned artists from around the globe. Our festival boasts an exciting lineup of performances, live music, top-notch DJs, and workshops suitable for all skill levels.

Immerse yourself in workshops led by world Tango champion Maria Ines Bogado and her partner Sergiy Podbolotnyy, as well as Fabio Robles & Michelle Di Monte from Melbourne. Our musical lineup features two outstanding orchestras: the Mendoza Quartet and the Perth Tango Orchestra. Among our esteemed DJs are Rodrigo Fonti (AR) and Luca Lamberti (IT), with more to be announced.

Milonga Package Pricing

The Milonga package allows access to all four Festival Milongas: the Welcome Milonga on Friday, Gala Milonga on Saturday, afternoon Kings Park Wildflowers Milonga, and the Farewell Sunday evening Milonga.

• Early-bird Weekend Milonga package $200
• July Special Weekend Milonga package $225
• After 31 July Milonga package is $250

We also have two fringe milongas options priced outside of the main weekend festival. One will welcome Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte to Perth (Wednesday 16th Oct), and the other will farewell Maria Ines Bogado and Sergiy Podolotnyy (Wednesday 23rd Oct).  Rodrigo Fonti (AR) will be our Dj.

Workshop Pricing

We have 4 workshops by Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte, and 7 workshops by Maria Ines Bogado and Sergiy Podolotnyy. You will be offered à la carte workshops for $35 for each one and half hour workshop and $70 for the immersion class with Maria and Sergiy. After 31 July, workshops will be $40 each. Take a note of which workshops you wish to attend before registering. If you select ALL workshops, we will reward you with free entrance to the fringe Wednesday milongas. Private Lessons

Private lessons will be available with Maria Ines Bogado and her partner Sergiy Podbolotnyy, as well as Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte. We will also have slots for private lessons with Rodrigo Fonti. Appointment slots and prices will be published as soon as possible. Be sure to select the expression of interest for private lessons so we can contact you.

Jack n' Jill Competition

Join us for a thrilling Jack and Jill Tango competition on Friday evening at the Regent Ballroom! This exciting and enjoyable event is open to all dancers, who can enter as either a leader or a follower.

Here’s how it works:

• There will be three preliminary rounds.
• Partners will be randomly paired by rotation for each round, dancing one tango per round.
• Leaders and followers will be recalled individually to advance to the finals.
• Finalists will be randomly paired and will compete as couples in the final tango.

We’ll have two sets of judges—one for leaders and one for followers—making this a fair and exhilarating contest.

Festival Registration Process

1. Select the workshops you want to attend, noting the workshop number, date, and time.
2. Have your credit card ready.
3. Note that there is a $10 booking fee.
4. Click the (green) register button.
5. Fill in your name and contact details.
6. Select the follower or leader registration option and then click Next.
7. Review and update your personal information.
8. Answer the private lesson and Jack and Jill question (Y/N).
9. Select a no-fuss package deal if you want it.
10. Scroll down to select à la carte workshops.
11. Select fringe milongas (remember if you select all workshops, you do not have to select the fringe milonga option because it is a free reward for you).
12. Click the Submit button to go to payment options.
13. Couples are automatically accepted.
14. Singles are automatically accepted in June and July.
15. After July, singles will be queued to ensure an even balance of participants. 
16. You will be informed as the follower/leader number balance is achieved.
17. If you are not accepted due to unbalanced numbers you will receive a 100% refund of your booking fee. (We suggest you do not buy airfares or accommodation until you are formally accepted).

Terms & Conditions

Definitions: 

• Client is defined as the purchaser of this ticket identified by his/her legal name; please make sure you use your full legal name in purchasing your ticket.
• Perth Tango Cub Inc is a not-for-profit association with ABN  90672983826, also referred to as PTC in this document.

Transfers and alterations:

• Transfers of tickets are not accepted. Please request a cancellation and PTC will assign your space to the next person in the waiting list. Additionally, each ticket is sold as a single unit not as a grouping of events. This means that no client can split the ticket in multiple events and transfer each event or part of the ticket to another person e.g. you cannot come to one milonga but transfer access to another milonga to another person/s. The ticket is valid only for the person named on it.

Refunds and cancellations:

• Cancellations up to 31 July will be refunded fully, minus $10 transaction fee.
• Cancellations from 1 August up to 1 September 2024 will be accepted at PTC discretion and, if accepted, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded.
• Cancellations after 1 September 2024 are not refundable.
• You should carefully consider the refund and cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers when making arrangements for attendance at the event. You may also wish to consider taking out a relevant insurance policy to cover for any losses in the event of cancellation, rescheduling or relocation.
• PTC reserves the right to cancel the event at any time (in part or in full) and provide the purchaser of this ticket with a full (or pro rata) refund minus costs of transaction processing. This refund will only cover the price paid for the ticket and no other costs incurrent by the client.

Privacy policy: By purchasing a ticket to the festival, you give permission for your email and mobile number to be added to our database. Any information provided will only be used for the purposes of the PTC and your participation in that and future PTC events.
