Immerse yourself in workshops led by world Tango champion Maria Ines Bogado and her partner Sergiy Podbolotnyy, along with the brilliant maestros Rodrigo Fonti and Fabio Robles & Michelle Di Monte from Melbourne. Our outstanding musical lineup includes the Mendoza Quartet, featuring the captivating vocals of Solange Lipcin. Completing the experience, our esteemed DJs include Rodrigo Fonti, Alex Nodelman, Terry Warby, and Susan Bal-Short.

Milonga Package Pricing

The Milonga package allows access to all four Festival Milongas: the Welcome Milonga on Friday, Gala Milonga on Saturday, afternoon King's Park Wildflowers Milonga, and the Farewell Sunday evening Milonga.

• Early-bird Weekend Milonga package $200
• July Special Weekend Milonga package $225
• After 31 July Milonga package is $250

We also have two fringe milongas options priced outside of the main weekend festival. One will welcome Rodrigo Fonti, Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte to Perth (Wednesday 16th Oct), and the other will farewell Maria Ines Bogado and Sergiy Podbolotnyy (Wednesday 23rd Oct).

Workshop Pricing

We one workshops with Rodrigo Fonti, 4 workshops by Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte, and 7 workshops by Maria Ines Bogado and Sergiy Podolotnyy. You will be offered à la carte workshops for $40 for each one and half hour workshop and $80 for the immersion class with Maria and Sergiy.  The workshop schedule and themes follows:

Private Lessons

Private lessons will be available with Rodrigo Fonti, Maria Ines Bogado and her partner Sergiy Podbolotnyy, as well as Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte. Here links for the private lessons:

Rodrigo Fonti

• Cost of a private lesson of 1 hr is A$150
• Pack of 3 private lessons of 1 hr is A$390 AUD. 
• Alone or in couple is the same price. From 11th till 16th October the lessons will take place in PTC. From 17th till 24th October the lessons will take place in 273 Nicholson Road, Shenton Park.

Maria Ines Bogado and/or Sergiy Podbolotnyy

• You can chose Maria and/or Sergiy (55 mins)
• 1 student - 1 teacher: A$160
• 1 student - 2 teachers: A$230
• 2 students (couple) - 1 teacher: A$190
• 2 students (couple) - 2 teachers: A$270

Fabio Robles and Michelle Di Monte

• Fabio and Michelle will teach the lesson (55 mins).
• A$130 for a 55-minute session, while for a couple, it's A$140 for the same duration.

Jack n' Jill Competition

In this competition, dancers are paired randomly with different partners throughout the event. It’s all about improvisation, creativity, and having fun, making it an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Event Details:

• Date: Friday, 18 October

• Competition Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

• Venue: Regent Ballroom, Level 1/59 Aberdeen St, Northbridge

• Ballroom Access: The ballroom will be open from 6:00 PM, an hour before the event. Competitors needs to register on location at 6 pm, so you can become familiar with the dance floor, rules, and competition process.

How It Works:

1. Round 1:

   • Everyone will compete in the 1st round.

   • Round 1 will comprise 3 or 4 tangos.

   • Dancers will be randomly paired and will perform one tango and then rotate according to a random number generator.

   • Leaders and followers will be evaluated individually to advance to the finals.

2. Finals:

   • Finalists will be randomly paired and will compete as couples in the final tango

   • The couple will dance to 3 or 4 tangos.

We’ll have two sets of judges—one for leaders and one for followers—making this a fair and exhilarating contest.

Festival Registration Process

1. Select the workshops you want to attend, noting the workshop number, date, and time.
2. Note that there is a $10 booking fee.
3. Click the (green) register button.
4. Fill in your name and contact details.
5. Select the follower or leader registration option and then click Next.
6. Review and update your personal information.
7. Answer the private lesson and Jack and Jill question (Y/N).
8. Select a no-fuss package deal if you want it.
9. Scroll down to select à la carte workshops.
10. Click the Submit button to go to payment options.
11. If you are not accepted due to unbalanced numbers you will receive a 100% refund of your booking fee. (We suggest you do not buy airfares or accommodation until you are formally accepted).

Terms & Conditions

Definitions: 

• Client is defined as the purchaser of this ticket identified by his/her legal name; please make sure you use your full legal name in purchasing your ticket.
• Perth Tango Cub Inc is a not-for-profit association with ABN  90672983826, also referred to as PTC in this document.

Transfers and alterations:

• Transfers of tickets are not accepted. Please request a cancellation and PTC will assign your space to the next person in the waiting list. Additionally, each ticket is sold as a single unit not as a grouping of events. This means that no client can split the ticket in multiple events and transfer each event or part of the ticket to another person e.g. you cannot come to one milonga but transfer access to another milonga to another person/s. The ticket is valid only for the person named on it.

Refunds and cancellations:

• Cancellations up to 31 July will be refunded fully, minus $10 transaction fee.
• Cancellations from 1 August up to 1 September 2024 will be accepted at PTC discretion and, if accepted, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded.
• Cancellations after 1 September 2024 are not refundable.
• You should carefully consider the refund and cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers when making arrangements for attendance at the event. You may also wish to consider taking out a relevant insurance policy to cover for any losses in the event of cancellation, rescheduling or relocation.
• PTC reserves the right to cancel the event at any time (in part or in full) and provide the purchaser of this ticket with a full (or pro rata) refund minus costs of transaction processing. This refund will only cover the price paid for the ticket and no other costs incurrent by the client.

Privacy policy: By purchasing a ticket to the festival, you give permission for your email and mobile number to be added to our database. Any information provided will only be used for the purposes of the PTC and your participation in that and future PTC events.
