Rina and Nadim Sawaya are Melbourne-based instructors from Tango Esencia with years of experience and expertise in the art of Argentine Tango. They have performed at prestigious dance halls in Buenos Aires and placed as finalists at the Tango Dance Asian Championships.
Their weekend of Tango workshops, performances, and private lessons will inspire your dancing and prepare you for the milongas.
Rina specialises in working with her students to rediscover their body's natural movement. At the same time, Nadim's teaching is informed by his deep understanding and appreciation of music, helping students develop a well-rounded knowledge of dance and its music.
Their focus on improving the body's natural coordination is evident in their beautiful natural earthiness in dancing and their elegant, connected, and smooth dancing style.

Level 1 is accessible to those who have recently completed a tango course. Level 2 is accessible to those with more than 1 year of tango experience (Intermediate to Advanced). Don’t forget that “back to basics” is the mantra of experienced tangueros and tangueras!
Pricing: There is a $10 set up fee (the base fee). You can select whatever workshops you want to attend for $35 each on registration. First select the base fee (follower or leader), and then select the workshops you want to attend. We will endeavour to ensure there is a follower/leader balance at the workshops. Those booked first will be accepted first. Please do sign onto the waiting list if requested because there might be cancellations.
Couples: Couples will have to book separately as a follower or leader. Please note your partners name in the partner field and him/her to make a separate booking.
