Taste of Tango A free half hour introduction to the exquisite dance The Argentine Tango. No need for a partner to get a quick introduction. The cost is your time to turn up. It could be a life changing experience.  7pm Thursday.

Beginners Course - This is an 8 week course of instruction for beginners to Argentine Tango delivered by volunteers from the Perth Tango Club. This course covers the following elements of tango: walking, turning, stopping, navigation, musicality and some embellishments. After this course, students will be able to participate and navigate a milonga (i.e. a social dance).

Cost You must be a member of the Club to undertake the course. A special introductory offer of $99 for membership plus the course fee of $80 is available for the 8 weeks payable at the beginning of the Course. Being a member entitles you to all the social events as well as a parking permit to park for free at the carpark during nightly events.

Course Registration 6.45pm Thursday 8th October 2020. New registrations will only be allowed for the first two weeks into the course. Instruction is from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, however participants are encouraged to start at 7pm to practise during the Taste of Tango sessions.

Dress Comfortable neat casual clothes.  Dance shoes are preferable; however you will need shoes that allow you to freely pivot on your feet.  Rubber sole shoes are not good for dancing as they can hurt the knees.

Hygiene The Tango is a close embrace dance, hence the need for good personal hygiene to make the experience enjoyable.

Instructors Your volunteer instructors are Mike Hampson and Marzena Cichon. Mike can be contacted via email mhampson@iinet.net.au
